Sunday evening Nashvillian’s will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to screen a full length motion picture before it’s released to the public.
A unique blend of psychological drama and documentary-style filmmaking, BILLY BATES is an absorbing portrait of contemporary artist Billy Bates, starring James Wirt and Savannah Welch (Boyhood, Tree of Life, and part of the popular Southern band The Trishas). Director DeLia and Producer Pacino will take the film and the accompanying works of art on a 10 city promotional tour as the film gears up for it’s U.S. release on iTunes, Cable VOD, and several other platforms. The release is set via Go Digital for November 18. The tour will land in Nashville on Sunday November 2nd at THE BUILDING (1008c Woodland) at 7 PM.
Billy Bates had sold out screenings at Cannes Film Festival, Toronto Film Festival, and Tribeca Film Festival and also screened at the Soho International Film Festival last year. Additionally, DeLia has directed music videos for Dr. John, Bobby Rush, Blinddog Smokin', Amadou & Mariam, TV on the Radio, and Ebony Bones.
The BILLY BATES event is free and includes a screening of the film (80min.), Q&A with the team, and a reception with the filmmakers.
